ECTM: A network-on-chip communication model to combine task and message schedulability analysis

Network-on-Chips (NoC) are widely used in industrial applications since they provide communication parallelism and reduce energy consumption. The use of NoC has been recently extended to real-time systems, whose execution meet temporal constraints. Communication delays introduced by the network make scheduling analysis challenging. In this article, we propose a new model called ECTM . main goal is assess schedulability dependent periodic tasks exchanging messages on NoC. allowing To achieve schedulability, produces an transforming order take into account during analysis. Schedulability system assessed using simulation over feasibility interval with list scheduling, supports Store-And-Forward Wormhole have demonstrated correctness transformations ECTM. implemented tool Cheddar performed experiments its efficiency. more efficient than existing solutions improvement 30% for NoCs up 100% NoCs, while proposed requires larger computation time about 17% NoCs.
